DeLeeuw Associates to Participate in IQPC Lean Six Sigma Summit in Las Vegas
—Executive from Leading Professional Services Firm to Chair Financial Services Think Tank Session with Head of Defined Contribution Customer Services Group at ING U.S. Financial Services —
EAST HANOVER, N.J. (August 28, 2007)-- DeLeeuw Associates, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Conversion Services International, Inc. (AMEX: CVN), a premier management consulting organization specializing in integration, reengineering and project management solutions to Global 2000 organizations and other businesses, today announced its participation in IQPC’s Lean Six Sigma West Summit in Las Vegas, September 19-20, 2007.
On Wednesday, September 19, Bryan Carey, CSI’s senior vice president of strategic consulting and managing director of DeLeeuw Associates, will introduce exciting new approaches in a client case study on integrating the best of Business Process Reengineering with the power of Lean and Six Sigma to increase value to the customer. This case study, co-presented with Barbara March, head of the Defined Contribution Customer Services Group at ING U.S. Financial Services, covers how ING’s strategy of absorbing business growth without a corresponding growth in expenses is accomplished through reengineering the process based on both voice of the customer and simple Lean Six Sigma principals of reducing non-value added handoffs.
According to Carey, “Business process reengineering is not reorganizing, restructuring, downsizing, automating or cost cutting – although these results are often part of a well planned and well executed reengineering project. It’s about focus on value-add and customer-centric processes; and these business process reengineering success factors directly map to tenets and tools of a customized Lean and Six Sigma approach. This case study will demonstrate how ING is poised to achieve incredible results in moving its culture from one of technical execution to one of quality, customer satisfaction, and process excellence through implementing a customer-in approach to business process reengineering.”
In addition, Carey will present pre-conference workshops with Six Sigma master black belt Jeff Stroud and process improvement expert John Munce covering topics such as how to create a customer strategy and measures through a sound business architecture; setting goals for breakthrough improvement with a Hoshin plan; and understanding your business through process mapping that enables key stakeholder buy-in, filters project selection, and sparks a culture shift within an organization.
