France Telecom Utilizes McKnight's Business Intelligence Advisory
PARIS, FRANCE - September 9, 2004 - Orange (France Telecom's mobile unit) announces their longstanding partnership with McKnight Associates, Inc. has yielded tremendously positive results for their data warehouse and business intelligence program, one of the largest and most complex programs in the world.
McKnight has assisted the Orange Group in the management and architecture for several data marts focused on different aspects of their telecommunication business including those with gaming, business-to-business and business-to-consumer focus. McKnight Associates, Inc. built several of the data models. All have been taken to production and are successfully providing value to help transform France Telecom into an organization that fully utilizes information in its operations and decision-making.
The multimedia data mart has been live for over a year and captures transactional, atomic level data from gaming, scores, and image sources. Reports off this data include standard, all-country reports as well as country-specific reports in a fully functional Business Objects environment. The multimedia data mart is integrated with the Orange Group Data Mart, an integration providing downloading of games, charging and Single Sign On to the Internet Portal (WAP and WEB). McKnight has helped keep Orange Group's focus on both the short-term needs of the business as well as the longer-term needs of having an efficient architecture with usability for years to come.
