CSI is currently looking to expand its resource network for the following positions:
.NET Developer (Contract), Trumbull, CT
DURATION: 6 months (extension probable with excellent performance)
POSITION SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities include:
- Work with the project managers and architects on application design and development.
- Develop applications, components, and services using C#, VB .NET, ASP .NET to meet the business needs.
- Use Oracle expertise to fine tune and ensure that applications and services are using best practices for oracle data access.
- Work closely with Project Management, Quality Assurance and development teams to drive projects through to completion
- Participate in code review process for peers
- Adhere to quality development standards
- Evaluate business requirements and processes to provide accurate estimates for development efforts.
- Off hours support as needed.
SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Expert level knowledge/experience (9 to 10 years) of web-based applications using C#, ASP.NET and Object Oriented Design
- SQL or Oracle Database expertise with Oracle Connection Pooling, SQL Tuning, Oracle Explain Plan, Oracle tracing
- Experience with VBScript/ASP, JavaScript and HTML
- Experience with IIS 6 and/or IIS 7
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for full software development life cycle
- Must be able to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the job functions
- Strong understanding of development lifecycle, SDLC processes and guidelines
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred or relevant work experience in the development field
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently within a diverse and fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Broad Knowledge and experience related to computer systems and technologies.
- Knowledge of the following would be a plus: MVC, WCF, WPF, Hibernate, J2EE
- Lead experience would be a strong plus

Sr. Business Objects Solution Architect, Boston, MA
DURATION: 9-12 months; START DATE: On or about Feb 1, 2012
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Sr. Business Objects Solution Architect (SA) will be part of a team that will implement a Sales Analytics data warehouse that will be collecting data from 14 countries and 6 product lines. All of the work will be done in Boston, MA. There is a 10% chance the SA will have to travel to Paris, France for a couple of weeks where we have a large sales data hub. The SA will be part of team that will work along with the Overall PM (OPM). The OPM will be the Data warehouse architect. The OPM will lead a team of several Informatica developers. The SA will be the leader of the Business Objects development team and report ultimately to the OPM. As the leader of the Business Objects development team, the SA will be responsible for taking this project from the cradle to the grave. Starting in Feb thru May, the SA will be involved in rigorous business requirements gathering and documentation so it is critical that the SA possess excellent communication and documentation skills. Also, during this period, the SA will be involved in the design. The SA will then lead a team of about 3 Business Object developers in the actual build from May to November. The SA must have the technical skills listed below and be a leader and a vocal participant on and for the project. The SA will then be responsible for making edits and corrections and coordinating responsibilities for the team members during the testing, go-live and stabilization part of the project from Dec to Feb. It is critical that the SA possess expert knowledge and experience with complex Universe design, and also be an expert in Xcelsius dashboard design. Duties are:
- Responsible for communicating project status to clients
- Developing complex interactive/dynamic dashboards with Xcelsius
- Developing and maintaining complex universes
- Developing dashboards with drill down capability
- Developing web services with QAAWS
- Able to work on several dashboards simultaneously
- Designing dashboards for fast performance
- Developing functional/technical specs
- Developing complex Webi reports
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
- Responsible for summarizing performance trends and highlighting problem areas
- Able to reuse template/components/web services across multiple dashboards
- Responsible for applying GUI standards and best practices to the dashboards
- Deploying BI content across multiple environments using Life Cycle Manager
- Performing BO administration tasks
- Performing Project Management tasks
- Responsible to work with ETL developers in order to fix defects
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have experience as a leader, not a “heads down” developer.
- Must excellent analytical; problem-solving and interpersonal skills and have experience putting forth ideas in meetings and proactively speaking of potential issues before they arise
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and documentation expertise essential
- 5+ years of experience designing/developing dynamic dashboard with Xcelsius and QAAWS
- 5+ years of experience developing Webi reports
- 5+ years of experience developing large-scale Universes
- 5+ years of experience working on Data Warehousing projects
- 2+ years of experience using BO XI R3.1
- Complex Web_I universe design
- Expert Xcelsius skills & experience – specifically dashboard design
- Experience with BO administration is required
- BO Security experience at the Universe and Dashboard level is required (to assure that user logins are based properly on all users' credentials)
- Ability to develop using advanced concepts; techniques and standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision
- Must be a team player
- Some travel may be required
- ETL and Informatica knowledge a plus
- 2+ year of experience developing BI solutions in the Sales & Marketing industry (Preferred)
